2008 Exhibit ScheduleJANUARY 18—FEBRUARY 4Member Show
This juried show, featuring work by Krasl members, faculty, and adult students was an exciting display of local talent. A variety of media including drawing, painting, ceramics, photography, and prints were Juried by Jacqueline Welsh, Curator of Education, Public Programs, at the Snite Museum of Art University of Notre Dame. The show was also juried and curated by William Tourtillotte, former chief curator, South Bend Regional Museum of Art.

FEBRUARY 10—APRIL 6Rooted in TraditionArt Quilts from the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum
This exhibition told the story of three decades of the Art Quilt Movement in America, from the early 1980s through today. Included were quilts from 58 artists, each of whom has a special place in the movement's history. Location: Dar Davis Gallery and Galleries II, III, & Lobby
APRIL 11—MAY 18Sculpture DrawingsKerry Binnington
Krasl Art Center's own Kerry Binnington is the artist of Sculpture Drawings. This exhibit shows the Krasl Art Center's sculpture collection in a whole new way. Enjoy the richness of line and the textures that are highlighted. Sculpture maquettes will also be on display, thus allowing viewers the opportunity to marvel at the exceptional line work and eye for detail that Kerry displays. Location: Dar Davis Gallery
Abstract PaintingsDale Threlkeld
The Abstract Painting exhibit showcases the abstract-expressionist work of Dale Threlkeld. These dynamic paintings function as an exploration of the territory between the explicable and the inexplicable. Color is used brilliantly in these large-scale paintings. Location: Gallery II
Glass ArtPaul Stankard
The Glass Art exhibition features the work of Paul Stankard, renowned glass designer. Glass orbs and cubes of varying size and organic subject matter will be on display. Location: Gallery III & Lobby

Gary Martin's series of dynamic photographs of area lighthouses includes those from Grand Haven, South Haven, Holland, and our own North Pier Lighthouse in St. Joseph. Location: Dar Davis Gallery

Stephen Moss shows that landscape has a supernatural component. When he paints the landscape, he essentially creates a pattern of colors and shapes on a flat surface. Location: Gallery II

These women broke through social and cultural barriers and took an active role in the popular etching revival. He has been a respected glass artist and teacher in Michigan for nearly twenty years.
