HollyMarket, sponsored by Edgewater Bank is southwest Michigan’s premier holiday shopping event featuring a juried sale of unique handmade art, jewelry and décor. Discover a spectacular assortment of distinctive and stylish holiday gifts, and help support artists, the local economy and the Krasl Art Center. Admission to HollyMarket is free.
Top off or begin your shopping experience at Soup’sOn by enjoying a hearty bowl of homemade soup, bread and variety of desserts. A Krasl Art Center tradition, this annual event is a local favorite and a popular lunch time escape. Soup’sOn starts Monday, November 7 runs through Thursday, November 10 and is open from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Homemade soups are $6.00 per bowl or sampler, and a tasty selection of desserts is available for $1.00 each.
“The community is invited to the Krasl Art Center for this unique opportunity to shop for artist made gifts and enjoy homemade soup, bread and desserts in an art museum that is filled with the sights, sounds and excitement of the holidays”, Julia Gourley, Executive Director, Krasl Art Center.
Festive Friday, November 4 from 6 to 8 pm, kicks-off HollyMarket and is your opportunity to meet the artists and shop before the general public. This newly revitalized event features live music by Venitia Sekema, a not-so-silent auction, a selection of wines from Tabor Hill Winery, local craft beer, and hors d'oeuvres from three of the area’s finest restaurants Bistro on the Boulevard, Grande Mere Inn and Tosi’s. Member advance tickets $10.00 (Please RSVP by November 1). Non-member and day of tickets are $15.00.
On Tuesday, November 8, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm be sure to check out our Kids Holiday Art Workshop. New to HollyMarket, this one day event is a wonderful opportunity for children to create holiday-inspired art in the studio while parents shop. The Kids Holiday Art Workshop is for children ages 4-12 and is $5.00 per child.
On Wednesday, November 9, from 5 to 7 pm adults are invited to shop HollyMarket while enjoying a complimentary glass of wine and sampling a variety of cheeses.
Be sure to visit the Krasl Art Center Gift Shop; where the focus is on artists, both local and international, along with sustainable and fair-trade products. Customers are treated to a new and inspired world of color, style and creativity from which to choose.
