Art Angels

Art Angels

Art Angels utilizes hands-on art experiences for hospitalized children and individuals receiving treatment for cancer. Providing a therapeutic arts experience for patients, Art Angels bolsters spirits and self-esteem, while helping individuals express themselves. This program promotes holistic healing, the idea that it is not just the body that needs treatment during illness, but the mind and spirit as well. Our goal is to help patients take their mind off their illness and get into the creative process.

Art Angels

Art Angels is free and offers a range of activities:

  • Bookmaking
  • Jewelry making
  • Cozy pillow creation
  • Drawing and painting
  • Sculpting
  • We are happy to cater to clients interests.

Art Angels is currently available at Lakeland Regional Hospital. Patients, clients, families and friends are invited to request an Art Angels Visit by calling the KAC or contacting your case-worker.

YMCA's Center for Achievement

The Center is an afterschool program located in Benton Harbor. Krasl Art Center partners with the YMCA to help students achieve increased self esteem, improved communicatons skills, a greater sense of accomplishment and a better attitude toward school through hands-on art activities. Students interested in participating can contact the YMCA at 269-428-9622.
